The annual Stanford High School to PhD Event (HyPE) is an event that brings 75-100 underrepresented high school students from the Bay Area to learn about science, Stanford, and what it means to be a PhD student.

Stanford HyPE will be held on Saturday, April 24 from 9 am - 3:30 pm on Zoom.

As we get ready for this year’s HyPE event, we are looking for PhD student volunteers to lead small group icebreakers, host virtual lab tours, speak on a graduate student panel, and lead at-home science experiments. Time commitments vary, so you can volunteer for as much or as little time as you choose. In order to work with students under age 18, volunteers must be LiveScanned, which we will arrange for you.
